The Need
School-Day hired Randy Horton to manage the implementation of their flag-ship produce: School-Day.com, an online management system for parents, teachers and children. Mr. Horton designed School-Day's brand identity, advised on the user experience and information design for the Web site and managed the entire project implementation which consisted of a budget well over $3 million.
The Solution
A user-centric approach to portal design was the foundation of the management practice. Using SCRUM and other agile management methodologies like Kan Ban and Rational Rose, Mr. Horton lead the implementation of the flag ship product and recommended creating targeting a related market that would accomodate testing and development of the core product.
