The Project

Canada-Camps.ca is the child project of Randy Horton and John Paul Tedescoe (Jeep). It started out as a simple collection of YouTube videos on hiking and backpacking. People kept watching, so Randy and Jeep kept making videos. More videos, more people. The youTube channel became so popular that Randy and Jeep decided to start migrating their audience to a new Website where they could learn more about hiking and camping, and purchase related products.

The Success

Canada-Camps now entertains an annual audience of over 140 000 viewers, many of whom purchase products off of the Web site based on product or meal reviews from the Youtube channel! The youtube channel also received the recent awards...

All-in-all, canada-camps.ca is a text-book success on how to leverage social media and capitalize on growing community within businesses.
